San Lorenzo Golf Course, designed by Joseph Lee and Rocky Roquemore was recently considered one of the best golf courses in Europe and in 1993 was voted Europe's third best golf course by the Golf World magazine.

Outstanding Views and Fast Greens 

San Lorenzo Golf Course features large, fast greens and undulating fairways which meander through a steady avenue of mature pine trees. Here you will find a range of spectacular holes that overlook the sea and run alongside a stunning selection of freshwater lagoons and lakes.

Situated in the Quinta do Lago development and forming part of the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, a round on the San Lorenzo Golf Course begins with an enticing but almost unachievable Par 5, before continuing to the three following holes along rolling pine tree-fringed fairways.

Best Finishing Hole in Golf

It is from hole number 5 however, that the most extraordinary part of the San Lorenzo Golf Course begins, offering wonderful views over the Atlantic Ocean. At hole number eight the course turns back inland and faces the largest of the lakes.

The next four holes on the course turn towards the sea again and end with the daunting 18th - a semi-island green, one of the best finishing holes in golf.

Beautifully Maintained Golf Course

San Lorenzo Golf Course is beautifully maintained and set in an unspoilt area of natural beauty. A handicap limit of 28 for men and 36 for ladies applies. The San Lorenzo Golf Course also has an excellent practice area.
